As part of its FilterForGood platform, Brita has brought back its Eco-Challenge Student Grant Program for a second year. Through this amazing program, Brita is looking to send three of Canada’s most promising young environmentalists on a life-changing educational expedition to the Canadian Arctic with the award-winning organization Students On Ice (SOI) this August. Last year, dozens of inspiring students from across the country submitted Eco-Challenge entries to win one of three Brita-funded spots onthe Students on Ice ship, valued at approximately $10,000 each. Students will have until April 30 to tell us why and how they are environmental ambassadors and leaders in their school or community, and why they feel they would benefit from a trip to Canada’s Arctic. Brita will let grant recipients know by July 9 if they should start packing their bags. The ship leaves harbor on August 4, 2010. This year students can submit either a 2-4 minute video or a short essay (500-1000 words). To learn more or to apply for an Eco-Challenge grant, students should visit FilterForGood.ca.
